BIBLE 101 = Foundational Beliefs
Do you think we’re at end time? Cause I don’t believe we are. I know scripture says people will flip good for bad and vice versa and natural disasters and children disobeying their parents like my grandfather told me about all this but I don’t believe that’s now. There’s still a lot of “ good”. Like I don’t see all that stuff happening as much, like yes it’s happening but what do you think? - Bri
What is the historical significance of changing a name in the Bible: Abram to Abraham, Saul to Paul, Simon the Peter - etc Maddo & Why did or who gave Saul of Tarsus the name Paul? - Joe
I just finished reading most of the New Testament and I am a little bit confused. No where did the New Testament command Christians to tithe 10 percent; instead, it emphasizes generous, voluntary giving according to one's means. While Jesus mentioned the Pharisees' tithing under the Old Covenant, the New Testament's call for giving is based on cheerful, sacrificial, and proportional giving, not a legalistic 10% rule. New Testament passages like 1 Corinthians 16:2 and 2 Corinthians 8:3 encourage giving "as he may prosper" and "according to their means," allowing for amounts both more and less than 10%. So why is it always said that we “must” give 10% of it referring to the old covenant law? - Anonymous
