How it all started...
The founders of Jubilee Christian Center, JCC, Pastors Dick and Carla Bernal, started the church in 1980, in Morgan Hill, CA. In the early years they had a home Bible study before growing into their permanent home when they moved to San Jose, CA. After 35 years of serving the community of San Jose, Pastor Dick had the vision to return to where it all began and “bridge” the gap from what once was to what the church’s future may hold.
In 2015, Pastor Dick asked his son Adam and daughter-in-law Michelle Bernal if they would take up the mantle, bridge the gap, and rebuild the church that stood so many years ago.
Adam and Michelle were both honored and excited that they were entrusted with embarking on such a significant new chapter in the church’s history. The birth of Jubilee Bridge Church stems from a deep well from which the legacy once began. God's plan and purpose have been plowing the soil in Morgan Hill for the past five years since the church's return.
During this time, they have been blessed to rent a storefront building to house the church in Morgan Hill, but have always known that God's plan was to reestablish what He started back in 1980. As a church, they have been digging up the old wells in search of living water — and that search has led to a breakthrough.

Expanding the vision...
When Pastors Adam and Michelle began praying for the future of God's church, Pastor Michelle received a vision of a red barn, accompanied by the scripture, Matthew 13:30,
“Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”
As the design for the new church began to take shape, it became clear that alongside the church, a private Christian school should also be established. This school will be a place where children can openly hear about God’s love, learn godly morals and values, and grow in an environment where the Gospel is freely taught.
Joshua 1:11 says, “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.’”

Jubilee Bridge now owns land located at 13755 Monterey Road, San Martin, CA 95046.
This marks a significant step forward in the vision to expand and rediscover their roots. Throughout this journey, and in alignment with God’s leading, the goal remains to build a permanent church home and a private Christian school — a place where the Gospel is freely taught, and generations can be raised in the knowledge and love of God. It is in Adam and Michelle’s hearts to stay in step with God's heart as they continue to build the Kingdom of God here in Morgan Hill and the greater South County region.
This marks a powerful fulfillment of God’s promise. We are currently in the active stages of finalizing lot lines, working with architects, and navigating the county permitting process.
As we move forward, we continue to plan, pray, and steward the land God has entrusted to us. We believe this is just the beginning of what He has in store. Thank you for standing with us in faith — the future of Jubilee Bridge is unfolding, and it’s going to be extraordinary!.
